1. What Is InsurOS?

InsurOS is a software system for insurance. It is the engine of an insurance company. It does the work of the whole company:

A personal agent is an AI helper for one person. The agent knows the person. The agent acts for the person. The agent talks to InsurOS. InsurOS does the work. The person does not use forms. The person does not make phone calls. The person does not wait.

InsurOS is not a website. It is not a chat window. It is the way we run the insurance company. Agents can do every job in it.

2. The InsurOS Diagram

The diagram shows the idea from Lemonade OS. Three sources give work to the core. The core gives actions back. Click an action pill. Read what it does.

The Human Team is part of InsurOS. The software gives easy work to the software. It gives hard work to people. Example: the software pays a small claim. A person pays a big claim.

3. How InsurOS Works

InsurOS works in six steps. Click each step. Read the detail.

1Find the services

The agent asks InsurOS for the service list. InsurOS sends the list. The list shows every action. The agent reads the list. Then the agent knows what it can do.

Technical name: GET /.well-known/agent-manifest

2Show your identity

The agent sends its ID. InsurOS checks the ID. InsurOS checks the consent. The person gave the consent. The consent says what the agent can do. The consent says how much it can pay.

Example: the consent allows a claim of $2500. The agent asks for $3000. InsurOS stops. InsurOS calls a person.

3Make the plan

InsurOS makes a plan. The plan is a list of steps. Each step is small. Each step can undo itself. We call this a saga.

Example: the agent adds a driver. The plan has three steps. Step 1: check the policy. Step 2: calculate the new price. Step 3: change the policy.

4Do the steps

InsurOS does step one. Then it does step two. A guard checks each step. The guard is a rule. The rule stops a bad change.

Example: the renewal price changes by 40%. The rule allows 25%. The guard stops the change. InsurOS asks a person to confirm.

5Stop or continue

A step fails? InsurOS undoes the steps. The policy stays correct. The work is high risk? InsurOS sends it to the human team. The agent waits. A person does the work. Then the flow continues.

InsurOS never gives a silent answer. Every stop has a reason.

6Record everything

InsurOS writes an event for each change. The events go to a log. The log is a chain. Each entry points to the entry before it. No one can change the log. The regulator reads the log. The person reads the log. Every agent action has a record.

4. The Five Layers

Layer 1 — Agent Gateway.

This is the door. It checks IDs. It checks consent. It limits speed. Agents enter here.

Layer 2 — Orchestration Kernel.

This is the brain. It makes plans. It runs steps. It applies rules. It calls people when needed.

Layer 3 — Domain Services.

These are the workers. Pricing. Underwriting. Policy admin. Claims. Payments. Documents.

Layer 4 — Data and Intelligence.

This is the memory. Events go in. Models learn. The pricing gets better. The claims get faster.

Layer 5 — Trust and Compliance.

This is the referee. It keeps the log. It checks the rates. It explains each decision.

The loop.

Every event feeds the models. Better models give better prices. Better prices grow the business.
